The registration for the Larian Amal Seri Sinar is officially closed today. The total number of participants exceeded our target of 1,000. The estimated number of entry forms counted last night was between 1,200 and 1,300.
The committee members still receive many phone calls this morning for the registration but we have to turn down their requests due to the fact that we have to finalise the number of participants. This will ensure us that the medals and vests/T-shirts could be ready on-time and there will be no shortage or too much wastage.
Around 70% of the participants take part in the 10KM run while 20% for the 5KM and 10% for the 3KM (Family Run).
There are many people finding difficulty to come to Taman Bukit Jalil, many of them went to Taman Komanwel near the LRT or the Stadium. I will expect more confusion on the Bib collect day, 13th, 14th March and the event day itself. For those that registered through friends, at the Curve, Garden, Klang or via email/fax/post, please take note that there are two parks in Bukit Jalil. Taman Komanwel is near the LRT/Stadium while Taman Bukit Jalil is opposite Bukit Jalil Golf Club.
